Bonsoir, Phil.
En anglais on distingue entre to change one's habits (forme plurielle) et to kick a habit (forme singulière).
On peut bien traduire to change one's habits de la façon que tu as indiquée : changer ses habitudes, mais l'équivalent français de to kick a habit c'est : sortir d'une dépendance.
Exemples :
- I've been trying to quit smoking for years.
- Well, did you kick the habit?
- When are you going to kick your drug habit?
- I don't know. It ain't easy.
