First of all, if I could travel to a foreign country, I would like to go to an English-speaking country.
I think that would be very exciting. I could observe another culture. For instance, if I went to Canada, I would be able to see the similarities between its French heritage and the English impact on its history.
Nevertheless, living there would help me to improve my English. However, I think I would have to avoid living with French-speaking people there. On the other hand, it is true that if I went to North America, I would be very far away from my friends and my family. I would stay in this country for a long time because the more you travel, the more expensive it is. Living abroad would make me aware of importance of family and friends. I would expect them to miss me; and my parents might reproach me for abandoning them.
As an immigrant, I would try very hard to mix with the local inhabitants of the country I live in. I'm not sure I would find employment, and the worst that could happen is that I would be homeless.
To sum up, I think living abroad would be a good thing. There's no denying that exploring unknown lands and having a change of scenery would give me the opportunity to open my mind to new possibilities.
